The original piece was born from grief. It was the first time I was able to channel my pain into something creative and healing. I made a mini version for my client that resonated with the story it tells. Checkout @clayworksby_ab on instagram for the full story.

I felt like we were in water when we were kissing on my sofa. It’s peaceful yet rough and you can float in it and wade and swim through treacherous water and it fills you up and keeps you alive and it’s all around yet we are grounded. It’s warm and cold and holds you close but allows you to drift and sometimes drown if you don’t trust your body to hold its weight.
Approx 5kg, H55cm D35cm. Glazed in gloss (not fired). Resin drops on top.
Not fired means that this piece cannot be exposed to water or extreme temperatures.
